UNN Cut Off Mark 2020/2021
I am positive that, you understand that there are certain requirements you must meet before you can be considered for admission into the University Of Nigeria ( UNN University)to study any course of your choice. For Example, Law, Engineering, Medicine, Pharmacy and the likes.
The first and the most important of all requirements is passing the required departmental and faculty cut off mark for the year in view. However, it is pertinent to carefully study and very high above the cut off point/mark to be on the safer side. As people with the lower marks, have a smaller chance of getting the admission
What Does Cut off Mark Really Mean?
Cut off mark simply means a certain mark which candidates are expected to score exactly or above if they want to be admitted for the particular year in view.
For example, if UNN sets its JAMB cut off mark as 300, then any student who does not score up to 300 should automatically start thinking of other options as they cannot be admitted, it is not possible.
I hope you now quite understand what cut off mark means right?
What is UNN JAMB cut off mark?
Before UNN considers a candidate to take part in her screening exercise, it is expected that such a candidate had scored 200 and above in the joint admission and matriculation board examination (JAMB). Mind you, that is not all. For u to be sure of getting admitted into UNN and to study the course of your choice, you must score very high both in JAMB and in post UTME exams.
UNN Minimum JAMB Score requirement to get admitted In 2020
UNN is one of the top tertiary institutions in Nigeria and they try to maintain a certain standard. It is often said that if you cannot improve on the existing standard, keep the standard the way you found it. There is no way UNN will decide to beat their cut off mark down below their minimum cut off mark.
Therefore, if you a JAMB aspirant of UNN and you scored 180 and above, then you are in the right league concerning the cut off mark.
The minimum JAMB score requirement for UNN is 180 and you are expected to beat this cut off mark far above and score higher so that your chance of getting admitted will be higher.
This is because any school will admit those who scored 180 first when there are other students that scored 250.
In conclusion, if you want to be on the safe side, try to beat the cut off mark far above the normal cut off mark.
Can I still gain admission into UNN with a score below the JAMB cut off mark?
A candidate who scores below the jamb cut off mark would not be given admission because such a candidate would not be invited for the schools screening exercise. Hope have been able to answer your question.
